Paper meets poet – A story of destiny

Paper meets poet – A story of destiny

May 13, 2021 –

The stab bound sketchbook in tailor-made slipcase was spotted on Instagram by Caroline le Meur. She contacted me to ask whether it was available and to my delight decided to purchase the book.

Caroline is a member of the International Association of Hand Papermakers and Paper Artists and creates magical paper poetry, She was raised in France, lived in China and nowadays has a home in Morocco.
It is a joy to follow her and see her work. Now her art and my book turned out to be made for each other.

“This gorgeous book, a true treasure of which I am now the lucky owner, will contain some among my 100 sculptures. Here is the first one. Anna’s work is sooo neat! That helps me stay rigourous in my designs, despite the pace of this rushy challenge. #the100dayproject”, Caroline le Meur on Instagram @100_paper_sculptures

In 2021 Caroline started using the book for #The100DayProject. This is a free, global art project. The idea is simple: choose a creative project, do it every day for 100 days, and share your process online. Every year, thousands of people all around the world commit to 100 days of creating. You can follow Caroline’s journey on Instagram: @100_paper_sculptures and see more of her work here: @calem.design

It is such a joy to see how she brings the book to life. She created a number of pop-up scenes and I’m delighted to show her work on my page.
