Today was the book launch and opening of the bookbinding exhibition. The exposition is organised by bookbinder Marja Wilgenkamp and author Andr\u00e9 Nuyens who wrote the historical book called De Belofte. It&#8217;s about a girl who disguised as a boy, travels on a ship from Europe\/Holland to the Indies to find her love.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 26%\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" src=\"http:\/\/annainpaperland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/AIPpf-origata001.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/annainpaperland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/AIPpf-origata001.jpg 500w, https:\/\/annainpaperland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/AIPpf-origata001-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/annainpaperland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/AIPpf-origata001-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For this exposition I first bound the sections of Andr\u00e9&#8217;s book and made a variation of the Origata binding after the design by Julie Auzillon. The book fits in the Japanese magic box where both the book and accompanying Asian herbs &amp; teas are in the different, hidden compartments.
